Buffy Howle
My name is Buffy Jo Howle, age 29 and holding.
I'm a stay at home mom for over 4 years with two
little girls, Carson and Claire. I've been a Sky
High Angel since the beginning in March of 2005.
I love the sister-hood of cowgirls that we've
created. The motto we have established through
the years is once a Sky High Angel always a Sky
High Angel, and we have had some great
cowgirls come and go. I love the "awe" we inspire
in our audience, especially the pride and
amazement on my eldest child's, age 5, face.
She loves to see her "mommy" ride fast. And
anytime she sees a pretty girl on a horse holding
a flag, she says "look mommy, there's a Sky High
Angel!" "This year I'm riding my old trusty grey
mare, Dolly. She's calm in any situation, and has
a tough personality, nothing phases her. She's
got Dash for Cash and Sugar Bars on her papers.
Many of the girls I ride with on our team are like
family, we all work together to make our team the
best it can be and this year and the years to
come will be no different. I have so much pride in
our performances and appearances. I think my
favorite part of each performance is before we
began we all gather and pray, everyone bows
their head and gives God praise for allowing us
the freedom to do what we love most...ride.
