My name is Braiden Smith and I am 13 years old.  I go to a charter school which has no sports or teams so I was so excited when Gloria asked me if I wanted to try out for the Sky High Angels Drill Team this year!

I have only been riding for around 3 years and have only had my horse, Rex, for almost one year.  He is such a wonderful and gentle horse and is willing to run drill team, barrels, poles, grand entries, sponsor flags and parades.  After he is done though, he loves to enjoy a BIG glass of sweet iced tea!

Besides the drill team, my hobbies include barrel racing, dancing, attending playdays at my riding club and hanging out with my friends.  

I love the pride I feel as we run around the arena carrying the American Flag performing our routine and am so happy to be part of such an amazing team and with such wonderful new friends!

Oh, and whoever said diamonds are a girl’s best friend, never had a horse like mine!
